Has anyone tried a Duncan Jazz bridge pickup in the neck spot? The Jazz bridge is (was? do they still make them?) 8.4K vs. 7.5 for the neck HB. I wonder how it would go with a medium/high output bridge pickup?

yes, I bought an older artfield (ibanez) and it had a jazz bridge in the neck and a 59 neck in the bridge, I sold the guitar but kept the pickups and they are now in an old usa charvel, this set is one of my favorite pickup sets. btw I once tried to reverse them but the wire for the bridge pickup was cut and now to short for the neck, so I just kept it

I used DiMarzio AirClassic bridge (DP191) in the neck with a 36th anniversary in bridge position for a while. A low output bridge pickup is less likely to be a muddy neck pickup.
I did a 59n in the bridge and Jazz neck for a bridge pickup for some time too. Used different combinations of those sets bridge and neck; air classic, 36 anniversary, 59, jazz, neck and bridge for a long time. Neck pickups were the OG underwinds.
