PAF or Patent number Byrdland or ES-350 pickup with the narrow spacing. These have been advertised on Ebay as 'neck position' pickups, which it total bullshit. If
you look close, you will see the moulding marks on the bobbins where the
regular spaced polepieces were supposed to be.
so notice the bobbin
mounting screw holes are spaced closer together because of the narrow polepiece
spacing. This is a sure way to see this has a narrow polepiece spacing.

This
particular pickup is a patent number, it has the short magnet, but had black
bobbin leads. It has the dark maroon bobbin wire. I wonder if these bobbins
were wound in the 50's and assembled later? Submitted by Dave Paetow ~ Administrator |
