'59 REISSUE

'99 40th Anniversary 'aged' '59 reissue, #125

This shot was taken the week I bought it with all its original parts. The guitar is not this red in person.

#125 shot in an angle where most of the flame drops out to almost a plaintop. Five years ago I would have hated that, now I love it!

The Tom Murphy certificate stating that he not only aged #125 but painted it also.

Another plain shot.

Sun shot, the flame really lights up.

Goodies that came with the 'aged' R9 including hardcover Beauty of the Burst book.

The back before I faded it.

Another shot in the reissue case

Sportin' original double-white PAFs!

The guitar now has fifties knobs, pickguard, switchtip, tailpiece and even 40 year old inlays.

Closeup of double-whites

Neck double-white, 7.8k

Bridge double-white, 8.4k along with fifties nickel tailpiece. The bridge is the 'aged' one that came on the guitar

Closeup of double-white. You can see the square hole surrounded by the offset round circle in the bobbin.

Another day in the sun

The backs of both PAFs, and deep neck joint.

Forty year old Gibson inlays.

Heel and checking.

Closeup of fifties knobs, the color is quite different from new Gibson knobs.

Inlay closeup

Fifties Pickguard closeup, the color of these is also quite different.

Headstock checking.

I aged the case myself. I thought an 'aged' guitar looked wierd in such a shiny new case, so I threw it down the driveway a couple times (among other things)!

Closeup of checking.

Closeup PAF label, bridge pickup.

Closeup PAF label, neck pickup.

'59 REISSUE AND '58 REISSUE

'99R9 and '01R8

Backs of both reissues which are now faded.

Another shot of both my reissues.

My latest addition. 2001 '58 Reissue. The only change Ive made on this is Anitquity zebras, that will be it. Ive flipped the neck pickup magnet for the Peter Green middle out of phase sound.

Same guitar in the sun. Its much plainer than my R9 which is what I wanted, in many angles you dont see flame at all.

1971 LP Deluxe (with factory full-size humbuckers). This is primarily the only guitar I played from '74 to '94.

Recently aquired '95 Fender Nocaster Relic.
Killer cool guitar, always wanted one...

1973 Diasonic. My first ever electric guitar. I did a lot of learning on this POS!

'59 tweed Deluxe replica amp

My '65 Pro Reverb which I put in a custom made cabinet. Armadillo Amp Works of Texas made me the head cab as well as the Blackface style 2x12 speaker cab. I put the Fender logos on. They did a GREAT job. The cab sounds killer with the G12H reissue Celestions. This is my amp of choice now.

Amps

'96 Matchless Chieftain. The only amp I played until I got the Pro. Great amp, dont think I can afford to keep it, but Id like to find a way...
