• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Actually the guy who previously owned that guitar ended up buying it back.

I personally think the 61-63 SG Les Pauls and the 68-69 Les Pauls belong HERE!! This 68 has more in common with a 56 than it does with a 79, and the 61-63s are part of an unbroken evolution. The 61-63s don't belong in the "other Gibsons" nor do they belong in the sunburst pub.

Lovely. Nothing nicer than a P-90 Les Paul for that 60's crunch blues sound.

Im not sure I would want a guitar like that (of course I WANT it hehe).

My brother has a 77 Custom that is in unplayed condition. It's no fun. You have to wipe down the gold parts when done playing etc.

That's how I would feel about it too. I'd rather have a player. But if I had a larger collection it would be a completely different matter.

J.J.B. that is awesome! My first GT was a very early '68 with the keystone inlay in the headstock & "Les Paul" on the truss rod cover. I miss that guitar.........
