• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Thanks again so much for all the comments, guys! Much appreciated! And sorry for the tardy response, but I've been off-line for most of the past week, having lost power for a couple of days due to Irene, and then our move from our summer home back to...reality. Anyway, thanks again!

Ok, Black58, any chance of filling us "nobodies" in on which 'burst you think this one looks like? Are you referring to 0 7446, or 0 7450?

Thanks!

Thanks tspoon! And I think you're right with regard to the tweed case. It seems like quite the coincidence that that extra tweed stinger case showed up at John's house within just a few days of our closing this deal. :hmm Hey John, you holdin' out on me?!? :rofl

Shit, Frank, I'm drawin' a blank! :## It's neither of those. .. I'm rememberin' the shot of it from Julio's site; It's in a stand, on a lawn. Has one of those uncommon wear patches on the horn. The cherry-red, at least in the pic, seemed a little deeper, to my eyes, than the usual suspects. The figure, though ... is UNMISTAKEABLE; Except for yours, I've never seen that type of figure on anything! Julio's GOTTA know which one I'm talkin' about; Hopefully he'll chime in and slap up the pic(s). .. Take a HELL of a lot shorter time than me fumblin' through EVERY serial number! :wah ... Yo, JULIO!! :hmm

Well, 8 5388, I believe, is Tom's "The Other Woman". And while mine looks somewhat like the photo of his in the BOTB spread, to me I don't think it looks anything like it in person (the coloring is similar, though). Here's a photo I took of 8 5388 at last year's Arlington show:

Wow, that is one very cool looking guitar! I don't believe I had ever seen that one before. I hope Julio (or the guitar's owner) doesn't mind if I post a pic of it here:

There ya go! ..
They both got that crunched, crinkled-up tin-foil look to 'em.
Serious beauty, and authentic-looking, if ya ask me! :ganz ... :salude .. :jim

To me, that color and burst is just perfect. Not too brown, not too cherry, not too orange, just perfect. Really nice Mr Pine.
