• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

According to the name of the pic, it's a '60 - specifically, 0-0231.

I saw a pic with no info. But the heading said 59/60.
I guess the seller, knowing what most people think of when they hear "60", wanted to made clear that it has "59 specs"... but it does seem that it would have been clearer had he just spelled it out.

The narrative is frustratingly sparse - if it's aim is to deter time wasters, or further the mystique of the guitar, why expose it in this way to begin with? :hmm

Just a moan and groan really, the guitar itself looks gorgeous, I wish all parties well.

So with the small hole south of the switch I am guessing it was played as a lefty for a time?

What way is he "furthering the mystique"? It's on his frigging web site under guitars for sale???
Gary with 40+ years in the business knows plenty about frustration but mainly from a sellers point of view if you know what I mean. If you are a serious buyer nobody else will give you better service than Mr. Winterflood.

The guitar is a peach... as previously stated: 59 spec - 1960 serial number, had a lefty guard on it a while and has a very reasonable asking price for a guitar with fewer issues than most. Also very advantageous exchange rate right now for you $ earners.

That would go with the gouge above the bridge pickup where the p/g bracket would go..

Yep... I have dealt with Gary over previous years and (IMO) while 'he doesn't suffer fools gladly', he tells things, (from a Brit perspective) how things are.

All serious buyers need to do, is, to liaise with him direct.

My comments were from the position of the "un-serious" in terms of buying, but extremely interested, in terms of a beautiful guitar on these fair shores. If my comments came across as churlish, or in any way appearing to cast any aspersions against the guitar or it's seller, that was not my intention. Nonetheless I openly apologise for any offence given. :##
