• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What is that thing?

Talking about that one in the middle from this NAMM '14 pic that looks like a possible ES-225D reissue.

Don't know. Not familiar with the 225.

What I find interesting is that there appears to be two different model ES-345s in the top row, both different from the current standard production 345. One has a long guard, the other a short guard. Both have the single jack on the face, rather than the two jacks on the rim that the standard production model has. I wonder if these are reissues of particular years, like the 59 and 63 335s. If so, :yah

In that picture it looks like the sunburst 345 has the black varitone ring and long pickguard which are both 1959 features. The cherry 345 has the gold varitone ring and the short pick guard which are early '60s features. Hmmm looks cool!

(Is it me or is the ES 345 popping up all over this forum lately?)

Maybe the 345 is going big time after having been neglected for so long, due to the popularity of no frills ,back to essentials which made the 335 so looked after

Wow!! It's an ES-225TD. I can't imagine it selling for less than an original though.

The one in tha picture has the trap-tail with a plaque though......looks pretty trini'y to me.

Hmmm, perhaps you are right. I am not very familiar with Trini's. Inlays look likethey might be Trini style. From the angle of the picture, at first I thought it was a smaller body, like the 336 size, but maybe not.

Wow! Gibson Memphis is killing it! I see an old (looking) amp in the corner too. Maybe some 50's reissue Gibson amps are coming out? I hope so.

I picked up a 50th Anniversary '63 ES-335 last year... a Trini or '59 345 is definitely in the cards for '14.
