• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

open invitation to you John, you do not know me, we have never done business, you're operating on 8 yr old 3rd hand information given to you by Eric Ernest

It might surprise you that Eric is actually quite reserved in what he chooses to share. You're whipping the wrong pony.

...who in turn received it from the biggest liar in the universe (that would be Melvyn franks)

Possibly, I don't know Melvyn, but I've yet to see any evidence to corroborate your assertion.

I am in London in a few days, I make a point of taking time at the Harrods oyster bar just over the road from where you live, take an hour to sit down with me, I'll tell you all I know from day one up to & including the current status of THE "CUSTODIANSHIP"

I'll certainly take you up on that, but I'll take a rain-check for now. I'd first like to wade through the sworn depositions and supporting documentation from the lawsuit, but I'm busy and traveling to Afghanistan shortly, so that will take a little time. It will, doubtless, better prepare me for when we meet.

Is there a link to see the details regarding the depositions and other documentation from the lawsuit? Thank you.

No, but everything is available from the courthouse. You'd have to take the trouble to have somebody go there, sign it out, and take photocopies.

Do you have copies of those sworn depositions and supporting documents? Why not share them here? They are open to the public, correct?

EE said elsewhere the paperwork is 6" thick - who is going to copy, scan, & post 100s or 1000s of pages of legal docs? :ganz

You really only need to thumb through it and copy a couple dozen pages. Now, putting it on-line would be very time consuming. I don't have "employees" or the time...

I don't think late night TV who-done-it docudramas pay very well. :laugh2:

I've said for a while that cable could really use a guitar/music channel...much in the vein of what's already there as the 'Speed' or 'Velocity' channels for cars. Collectors' series, classic concerts, etc....and the Peter Green LP saga would make a great documentary, as well as a great companion piece to the actual 'Man Of The World' Green docu.

I know that there are a lot of guitar enthusiasts/collectors out there, but hell there has to be tons of guitar enthusiasts/collectors out there as well.

We are fanatical here but I think you overestimate the number of guitar junkies nationwide/worldwide, maybe 0.01% of the US population?

And besides, musicians are a historically broke group: who will pay for The Guitar Channel and what advertisers would want to go there? :hee :rofl

Broke but always seem to have money for gear, music, and beer.

Is this by chance in a Charlotte, North Carolina jurisdiction?

1. Roughly 33% of Americans play some form of musical instrument.

2. The musical instrument section of eBay is one of the largest and most active.

3. Guitar players comprise a huge chunk of that.

4. I own a Toyota Tacoma and have never owned a classic car, but I LOVE the Velocity Channel. I can't help but think there are a lot of non-playing folks that find guitar at least interesting.

Yeah, but you can already guess what will be the most uttered phrase in homes all across America the night the pilot airs: "Who the f@#k is Peter Green?":hee

I think if you balance out the gear/collector stuff with classic artist/rock/concert programming...films like The Last Waltz, Gimme Shelter, Hail Hail Rock N' Roll, etc.....(yes know that 'Palladium' does this already)

And as Eric mentioned, I also have never owned a classic car or even know a whole lot about them, but I love so much of the stuff you watch and learn on Velocity or other channels.

One big differences I see though is that it's one thing to do a reality show in an active custom car/motorcycle garage...but with guitars it could possibly seem 'nerdier' and on a much smaller/singular scale in comparison. As much as people like us love this stuff and all its minutiae, it would probably still be a struggle to fill the itinerary with as much content.

Maybe a 'shared' thing wit a chanell like Palladium, for starters....start wit 3 days/wk or something.

And what is the percentage of Americans that have/drive cars, versus the percentage of Americans that play guitar? :ganz

You may well be right but I think guitar channels are 'small and regional' for a reason. :salude

Again, probably still not as much 'content' as car-related stuff these days, but even say 3 days/wk...and with the kind of production that a lot of these programs now get as well.

Think about a six-part series on guitar collecting, or on certain models, legendary builders, etc. And concerts/films to fill up slots as well. Obviously, there's already a lot of stuff on YouTube, but that could make it to the channel as well.
