• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Unfortunately I can't speak german, so I can't tell what is he explaining, but by the date of the video posting and some words on the description...
The p.u covers seem really different from the usual historic and now closer to the old ones.

Plastic also looks more accurate.

What do you think? Anyone speaks german?

The 2015 Gibson Custom line up was just approved a few days ago, and the product list and price lists aren't even out yet to dealers. :jim

He is demo'ing a "Player's Choice 2015" guitar, which seems to be a special run of 30 '58 Les Pauls for Session Music. He says that the tops are hand-picked, and some of the specs are derived from specific models from the CC line (neck profile, top color). No word that they are from the 2015 production line.

Cheers, Mikey

No, it is a still a run with the 2014 specs. They have the 2014 anniversary toggle switch backplate.

You can't see it in the video, but on the dealer's homepage.

A bit off topic but does anyone know anything about the amp he is using. It's obviously a Marshall and it looks like a JVM 410 head which I have but mine looks nothing like this. Is this some new signature model ?

It is a JVM410h Special Edition made for Session Music only. The look is a tribute to the Silver Jubilee. Beside the look, it is a bone stock JVM.

It's also a special JVM 410H for Session Music in Frankfurt/Germany.

Not to create friction, but what exactly is meant by "just approved a few days ago"? Gibson showed most of these guitar models at NAMM in January. Wouldn't they have to have been approved prior to that? If you have more info from Gibson please share. Working in a product development environment myself I have never seen any product announced to the public without being approved for production.

Thanks.
