That's so great he is one of my favorite guitarist.

There are quite a few professionals on this forum, several of whom are frequent posters.
If is a cool thing about this places, but they just want to talk about the guitars, just like the rest of us.

I don't know who you are and I don't know what you are talking about but if you have any doubts
about what I have reported here in regards to my Zemaitis you can tiptoe over to the LV Metro
Pd or to Talladega County Sheriff's office and they can talk to you. Moreover contact Keith
Smart at the Zemaitis Owner's Club. What advice haven't I followed?

I specifically told you following police advice is a dead end, and that you need to be more proactive. I was in this situation TWICE where I got my guitars back! And both times the police HAMPERED my abilities to get my guitar back by telling me to lay low. The way to get it back is to blast this information all around till somebody gets outed publicly

I know and yes you are right. Basically I am preparing the summons and complaint to serve on the Alabama dealer for
the handling of the guitar. Hopefully, a lawsuit and the appropriate discovery will get to the facts.
Sadly this seems to be the only way to go as I have not heard back from the "lawyer" about
the claimed "proof" he was going to supply to show that the alleged "mystery dealer" had bought the
guitar in good faith. What a surprise.
Also has anyone noticed that no one has shown up on this thread to dispute what has been posted here?
Interesting right?

Now I'm just sayin' if it were me I'd be on that motherf*cker's door step in his face until he tells me exactly who has my guitar! AND........this story with all the gory details would be posted all over the internet. I'd just bury him and the cat that has your guitar. Just go for it if you want results.

I agree, I'd get off of work to do it. No way would I let it go on this way.

Guys i hear you and I am working on it but basically this thread has all the known and unknowns on it.

Condense it and list all of the FACTS with NAMES as simply as possible. You will make a much better and stronger point that way! Sorry to say this but you need to be more aggressive and angrier than you are!

So, is this the actual guitar and the dealer who seems to be accessory to its theft??

http://rebel-guitars.com/1987-zemaitis-pearl-front/

If that IS it, I would be going after it with everything I could...stunning .

That is not his guitar, this is.

He posted it earlier, I like it even more than the other.. its a beauty. I believe RR explained that said dealer took it off his website and it is no longer in his possession and is supposedly back with the guy who sold it to the dealer.. I agree that its time to out all the names officially in a concise post but its up to RR in the end. Good luck Rich.

I know it is easy to talk retrospectively, but you should have "ordered" it from the crooked dealer then cancelled your payment once it was back with you where it belongs. After all, once these stolen goods are back with the rightful owner it would be more than difficult for the crooks to lay any claim on them.
Too late now though . . . whereabouts unknown. Unless you put some pressure on the dealer who sent it back to his buddy. He clearly IS NOT going to do the right thing while he thinks he doesn't have to. He might respond to some actual knock on the door type pressure though.

If you go to the Rebel Guitars website, you will see that they want a bank wire for payment on the pearl front guitar, so the tactic you suggest would not be effective.

I'd have my attorney all over this!

Me too.

Or perhaps, these guys:

That might be an illegal way of trying to solve this, putting RR in potential trouble and maybe making the whole mess worse.
I don't know this for certain, but I would be wary of this approach. :hmm

I'm currently in litigation that has been going on 3 years... I don't feel I'm one single step closer to getting my case "accomplished" and stolen assets returned than the day I started... but I'm also tens of thousands of dollars lighter while courts and attorneys continue to drain me....law enforcement that I've tried to get help from just looks the other way.... If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have taken that route. One thing the court did was sanction against any public or social media being used to expose anything or talk about the case. Why??? I'm guessing because that's what counts these days and actually gets results and notice... because it sure ain't the courts... your reputation in public media seems to be extremely vulnerable of enough take notice.... If it were my guitar I would appreciate any levelheaded support and appeal for justice in the matter....

I've also had experience with the legal system and would not go that route again. I agree with you j45.
