• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Let's See Your #1 --- Here's Mine!! Every. Time.

The Black one is a 2011 R8 its not a Yamano but a Luthman.
Ordered by the Swedish dealer.
Its both fat sounding and bright but with a treble sting riding all over the darkness.

The other one is probably the best Les Paul I have ever played.
Its basically a fat sounding tele.

Ive got a '56 Goldtop, that would be a Historic, but it has a slim taper neck. It was specially ordered like that. It was my #1 before I got my '60 Historic. There's just something about a Goldtop. Love a Goldtop, and you've got a fine example of one!

I couldn't agree more. There is something about a goldtop. A look that's trashy and classy at the same time. Total rock n roll bad-ass. Bursts get the attention, and how can you not love flame maple, but there's something about a goldtop.

I was in Mainz and Wiesbaden several times this month, including the rainy fest on Saturday. Is there a good venue for blues in the area? I also have a 59 Junior.

Not really, or maybe i´m not aware of them.
Sometimes there are nice concerts at the Schlachthof/Kesselhaus in Wiesbaden. But Frankfurt is nearby.
The rain was something and dark clouds coming again as i type.

Later I kinda dug this 99 R9.1412483_225284777635026_1763932712_o.jpg

But I am unable to post a picture of the Y2K Les Paul R9 that I've used the most these last 16 years. If I can get my son to help I'll post updated pictures.

I like all of them but the 2015 short/intermediate tenon dressep up Traditional CS9 sounds/plays great IMSO. For Flying V's it's this 2013 Michael Schenkerized 70's Reissue with a beautiful sounding 3 piece neck.
