• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

?? Help finding Pickup Rings for LPC 3 Pick Up BB

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a source for the Middle Pickup Ring for a LP Custom in Black??

Tried Stew Mac, Allparts and Gibson directly

I'd really like to avoid the hassle of fabricating one by grinding / sanding down a tall one.

TIA!

Your best bet would be to get a matching bridge ring and sand it down to exactly where you want it... there is a Stew Mac video for properly fitting pickup rings...

I'm starting to think that will be my only option.... I've seen the video - shite ton of effort for a $5 part.

The quick version is to use a good CAB ring (which will bend properly) and just put a piece of sandpaper on a table and scrape it back and forth to size. Takes about a minute.

My own preference is to just use a neck ring... that stays more out of the way than a bridge or midsize which tends to obstruct things. My main concern is more that they are all the same color and made of CAB than what size they are.

Wizz sells some great rings...
