• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

ES-140T anybody?

I've had an odd obsession with these 3/4 size guitars for about a decade since picking one up off the wall at Mark's Guitar Loft for a few minutes many years ago. Still don't own one, but the GAS runs strong and I continue to sniff around and stare at them on Reverb. Anyone care to praise or damn them from actual experience? :hmm

I have a 3/4 Melody Maker (3rd body style aka Joan Jett Model) that sounds really good. I use heavy strings, 13s due to the short scale length. They intonate correctly on the original bridge as they have a wound third.

I had a mint ‘57 ES-140T, sunburst. It was a fun little guitar to play on the couch. I recall I gigged it once. However, once you are used to full scale amd multiple pickups I found the guitar a useless appendage and sold it...

The keyboard player in my band had a 3/4 size vintage LP Jr., I never played it much but had never known back then that they even existed. He had small hands and liked it.
