• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Could you elaborate on that? What makes it a masterpiece in your estimation?

Actually Crossroads was recorded Sunday March 10 & they were in the old Fillmore Auditorium [and not Winterland] when they recorded it. Cream was recorded 'live' 4 consecutive nights in SF--Thur March 7 at the Fillmore, both Fri & Sat were at the larger Winterland Ballroom [across the street from the Fillmore], & then back to the old Fillmore Auditorium for Sunday March 10`s performance. Bill Graham chose the smaller & less expensive Fillmore Aud. for Thur`s & Sun`s shows because he knew there weren`t going to be as many people attending those 2 nights. You can read about these 4 days of Cream in SF in Billy Stapleton`s story on his website--it`s titled 'A Romp with Cream'--you`ll have to scroll down to find it [& there are 2 great pictures there that he took of both Clapton & Cream performing which are great!]. Here`s the link to his story & also a great picture of Clapton & Ginger Baker on that infamous Sunday March 10th night at the old Fillmore Auditorium.

Still not entirely sure what your subject is, but if you ask Peter Frampton, what is the perfect song, he will immediately say "Whiter Shade of Pale".
