July 31 - August 2nd. Previously purchased tickets and booth reservations will be transferred to the new dates. See https://www.guitarshow.com

Just talked with reservations at the Dallas Renaissance and they don't have the show rate for the new dates yet. They advised calling next week. I'll update this when it gets resolved.

I'll have a corona w/lime.

This shit is just stupid.

The Italian people don’t think so. 1000 plus deaths as of today.

Post again in another two weeks. It will reach epidemic proportions in America. Our numbers are skewed low as there is very limited testing. South Korea can test 10,000a day.
If I had to make a choice between going to a guitar show or getting deathly ill, Id miss the show.

Please stay healthy, happy, and safe.

The Northeast Guitar Expo - previously held in Hartford, CT, was relocated to Natick, Massachusetts. Originally scheduled for may 3, was rescheduled to fall as well, October, I think.

Just cancelled my hotel and airline reservations. I can't make the new dates. Hopefully I'll be around for the 2021 show.

Edwina,
Thanks for the accurate information, unfortunately there are still many among us that think this is some kind of political hoax... This has nothing to do with politics, this is a matter of life and death!

Everyone please stay safe.

You too.

But I will say this....

SARS.

HIV/AIDS.

Swine Flu.

Bird Flu.

Ebola.

Climate change.

There's always a crisis.

And its ALWAYS POLITICAL.

And yet....

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm

The flu happens every year.

Nobody is talking about that.

Because it doesn't sell.

Except for the bullshit flu shots that may or may not work.

Its all bullshit!

The same folks that are saying.

That the federal government is failing to provide an adequate response to this current so called crisis.

Are the same folks that want the federal government to be in charge of our health care.

The same folks that poo poo'd big pharma.

Are now begging for big pharma for a cure.

The same folks that poo poo'd closing our sovereign borders.

Are now suddenly in favor of closing our borders because of this shit.

And now at the same time.

The media has jumped on this like a fly on shit.

Let no crisis go to waste.

And stupid people are sucking it up.

Here's the really stupid.

The beer flu is a respiratory illness.

So lets all stock up on toilet paper!

WTF are people thinking?

Like wiping your ass more is the cure to this insanity?

The country and the world in general.

Has become like one fucking.

Popeye's Chicken store.

Thats run out of chicken sandwiches.

Hey TB, you've been around this place for a long time, and I have frequently enjoyed your posts. But you must have had too many beers tonight, because you are sadly mistaken. I am responsible for a health system with 125,000 employees nationally. Our workers are in harm's way right now. There isn't enough personal protective equipment to keep up. We have 24/7 command centers in place, dealing with staffing, supplies, pharmaceuticals, having enough ICU beds, ventilators, etc. The numbers of infected and really sick patients is going up exponentially by the day. This isn't the flu. Please do not dismiss this as just another overblown situation. Thanks for listening. I am praying that you do not contract COVID-19.

REAL virus. FAKE crisis. The country is being systematically decimated for 100 flu deaths.

Mike, doctors here at Sutter Foundation in Roseville, CA are using garbage bags for protective gear. How is it possible in America where people, “responsible for a health care system” are so woefully unprepared? It simply cannot all be Trump’s fault. You’ve been at the job longer than he has.

Doc, you've just turned this into a political issue in your response to my post. I never mentioned anything about Trump. What I said is that this is real and not fake, or "bullshit" as TB says.

And if you want to blame us that the CDC,, Public Health system and the private health system didn't foresee a deadly new virus, go ahead. That's very helpful right now, thank you.

Fair enough. But it’s nearly impossible to view ANY issue nowadays outside a political light. I didn’t invent that. The last 25+ years did. He’s certainly taking some heat for our ‘response.’ I think that’s mine and TB’s greater point, if I may speak for him, that given the past 3+ years, some of us smell a rat in all this. And if we’re wrong, it will go down as mankind’s GREATEST coincidence, ever.

Not only do we want this to be handled properly, we want some truth. That has been in short supply too. Good luck and stay healthy.

Wait two more weeks. 3/18 = 151 deaths (+42 deaths), 9269 cases (+2858 cases). Note the chart is exponential.

When I last posted , the amount of deaths in Italy was at 1000.
It has passed 3000 deaths and is increasing exponentially.

There is no reason to not expect this in America.

None.

My wife and I are licensed clinical social workers. Our clients are the poor, the sick, the elderly, the homeless...these people are very vulnerable and they rely on social services to survive. They rely on home visits from social workers to help them meet their basic needs and it’s difficult to do during this pandemic.

However, this illness does not discriminate. Today a Florida congressman tested positive. Pro basketball players. Doctors and other health care professionals have tested positive. My VERY small town has5 confirmed cases.

People have the right to be skeptical. That is our right and privilege as Americans.
However, please respect other people, especially the elderly. People who are asymptotic are capable of spreading this to others.

please stay happy, healthy and safe.

btw..another 4200 plus cases in Italy since yesterday.

As per my other un-published reply (which btw, was posted before this last reply referenced above).

Everybody take this seriously and be safe.

If Italy is that hamstrung with Covid cases, who had the time to test 4200 people, get the results and post that information to the world - since yesterday? Something’s rotten in Denmark. And Italy!
