• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Wrap tails lets see what you have any flavor !

My very first custom shop 2014 R9 courtesy of Daves ( such a great shop ) this guitar checks all the boxes for me with her tone and looks . Perfection right out of the box and this is the one for me that all of my others get judged against , as she's still the Queen of the manor as I played her all of last weekend . The only flaw/imperfection is the infamous cracked knobs . My tech came up here to work on half of my herd a few weeks ago (11) and he says to me "do you know her knobs are broken ?" Poor guy didn't want me to accuse him of breaking them , as it's just the infamous Gibson Custom knobs .

Here's my wrapover. '57 ES225T, not your conventional wrapover, I know... Still one of my favorite couch guitars and it rips at volume!

Mr. Ren , at the count of 8 I think you certainly like your wrap tails ? Beautiful instruments I must say ! I want to try to guess the vintage ones , here it goes . The single cutaway TV Yellow LPJ is vintage ? The Cherry Red double cut Gibson is Vintage ? Also the other Cherry Red double cut Gibson is also vintage ? I really really love your TV Yellow LPJ , which makes me want to get one . That is one killer looking Instrument , also the color is so cool !

Yup, I also counted eight. Wow! I guess that's Ren's thang.
Ren, tell us about owning eight wrap-tail guitars over tune-o-matic/adjustable bridge guitars.

My only wrap tail. I would like an R4 or MIJ variant to go with it, but it will probably by an Original Collection P-90 Goldtop if prices and availability ever tip in the buyers favor, again.

2020 OC LP Special. It is awesome. I love it!

I have many more adjustable than wraps but I do prefer the wraps.

Just simpler and more straight forward.

Kinda a no-chit thang.

Yeah, not dead-on in the upper registers but you learn to play around it.

My attitude is if people hear the imperfection in the intonation they are 1) a total dick or c) my playing is not wowing them enough.

The vintage ones: TV Yellow Special is a 58, the double cut Jr. is a 59 and the SG type Jr. is a 62.
