• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Grace under fire....

OK Lads?

Bombardment over. We get a week off before we roll into the Scans and Bloods and poking and prodding's to see what's what.

That'll all arrive soon enough, in the meantime We rest for a bit, and try and get our breath back. The last few months have been more than somewhat difficult...lots of problems along the way, it has stretched Audrey to her limits, which in and off themselves are very considerable indeed.

What a scrapper this Lady is, what grace, what courage under fire.

How can a Man not fight for someone like this?

At the drop of a hat Lads.

Such are the great blessings bestowed upon me.

Thanks for everything, every single one of You.

Good Evening Gentlemen.

News from the front....

Cancer 3 - MY MISSUS 4

Good bloods, good markers, excellent scan...we have got it under control.

The Medics have a plan to keep it under control for a meaningful period of time too....more to come on that as I get my head around seeming to pretend to know what the bloody hell they're talking about. It reads like science fiction being narrated by world class Doctors.

As positions go, I couldn't have wished for a better outcome at this point.

Lads, Audrey is OK today - she fought hard right to the bell, she's got this one on points.

10 Stone piss wet through of courage.

Taken a few years ago at me mates wedding where I was best man....I said to Audrey " what you laughing at, you've not heard me speech yet"

She replied..." I just thought I'd give you some encouragement, hate to see the 5 minutes you took to write it go to waste..."

See what i'm up against Lads?

;);)

So glad to hear encouraging results. I'd missed your kind response in your Aug. 7 barrage of posts, haha. Sorry; to belatedly answer your question I had throat cancer (surgery, chemo, radiation) 11 years back and have stayed clear on that front.

Over the past six years I've instead been dealing with the negative effects of the treatment (specifically, the radiation) rather than any cancer. My jawbone weakened to the point where it simply broke (a "pathologic fracture," rather than a "traumatic" one), and was rebuilt with some hipbone and some ankle veins. The same radiation damage then caused the neck to not heal after the rebuild, so a second surgery replaced the neck flesh on that side with my pectoral muscle from my chest! A real pain in the neck! ;) That's why in any recent photos (like my avatar here) I'm wearing a scarf or whatever-- it's pretty gnarly looking and I don't like to scare children and sensitive adults. I should come with a trigger warning, haha.

But the important thing is we're still all above ground. Take care and give my regards to your better half!
