Is there any difference between a Strat and a Tele neck, other than the headstock? Was watching a video of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Allen Collins had a Strat body with a Tele neck. Have seen other players do this. I'm not a Fender guy, go figure.

Strat necks are rounded at the heel and fit on telecasters but leave a gap in the pocket.

Tele necks are squared and don’t fit strats unless the body has been modded to fit the square heel.

Most strat bodies in at least the last 20 years have this mod from the 7ender factory.

No.
The body end is squared rather than rounded, but from a profile/feel perspective their is no deliberate difference.
Strongly disagree on the profile /feel of the necks as they are not cookie cutter stamped out the same size . They both vary .

There's not a specific "Tele" neck shape and "Strat" neck shape- they've offered so many over the years and they've varied a lot. I imagine Allen Collins had a Tele neck on his Strat because he liked that particular neck.

I really like the look of the black/mint guard tele with the reversed headstock

They aren't, and never have been, made to a 'Tele shape is different to a Strat shape'.
