• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Bought a used one of these the other week and pick it up this weekend, a 6 hour drive away in the wop wops.
Looks as though Marshall have produced a few of these recently after a hiatus of a few years. Will check out the background when I get her home.
Years ago when these were first made the dealer price here would have been NZ$6.5 - 7.5k and we didn't see any in the country, now there's one other for sale at a store for 5k.
Might change the grille cloth to the reissue pinstripe and put a couple of old alnicos in it.

Racing Green and KT66's.

Sexy...very sexy.

I think the cloth with the green looks splendid as is Steve.

Play in the very finest....

When I first saw it Paul I thought it was a leftover from the '14 -'17 era of these but as I said will check on this latest unit with Marshall and get the lowdown.
Good to have a somewhat reasonably priced close as to spec 1962 around the place.

I changed the cloth on my 1974X several years ago and used this (no affiliation):

Absolutely love it!

Yes I've seen and had my hands on this EC Collins fabric(a 1962 LE here in Auckland), it's rubbery and solid for sure. Don't like the fact that it rolls off the highs as I've seen in various vintage vs new vids.
Looks the part however.........we'll see......cheers (y)

MG more so than the other Brit car companies back in the day and possibly a smidgen darker in hue also...........that's your BRG.
Picked it up yesterday and it's tag says made March 2018 so hot on the heels of the then discontinued black tolex HWs.

You’re right, it does roll-off the highs a bit, but not overly so IMHO. Of course, like anything else, mileage may vary.

The original M cloth was the same and as I recall it was explained as being 'the same fabric that was used on the seats of London buses' which I didn't find very inspiring:LOL:

Marshall HO emailed me that 4 of these 'Olive Green' combos were made by their Design Store, mine is March 2018.
Didn't know there was a design store.
Interesting to see the metal frame that covers the tubes runs the width of the amp, that'll be coming out today.

lol..........as soon as I can figure out how to get the pic I took from Google pics and post it to either my Desktop or to Imgur, then I'll be able to post it here.
The pic in my initial post came from a dealer site in Malaysia.
