• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Been checking almost dayly since Feb 9, where you said you would drop the guitar off to have it set up😆
You must be one hell of a player if you can dropped off your guitar to a tech and he drops starr guitars to do yours!!!!

I'll tell you, my 4 Uncles Bridge made a nice difference on my Murphy Lab R-9! The overall tonality is incredibly vintage. I've played alot of Vintage LP's over the last 50+ years and the 4 Uncles was the icing on my guitar to put it there! I have the NOS Centralab pots/wiring and it's just so great that all this is coming into fruition about the same time.

Slightly off topic but are these the vintage centra lab pots being offered by Tyler? What’s the difference between them and say, a Throbak harness? is it that much of a difference? thanks

The Centralabs are new old stock. It’s what would have come on a guitar in the 50’s & early 60’s. They’ve never been used. Tyler checks each one and Lube it like Centralab did back then. The difference between Jon’s and Tyler’s are Tyler’s are the real thing. Jon’s are really good, but CTS is making copies of the Centralabs.
Both are great, but there’s a pretty good price difference between them.

If this is the same guy from youtube (that's where the video originated: "SD Pickups")?

Bridge might be great but he's a charlatan extraordinaire, IMO, wouldn't trust a fella like that who doesn't understand the basics of what's going on while at the same time science-splaining everyone else. Dude rubs off as way out there. The "FU" designation now makes a lot more sense!

Hey guys, how long did it take you to get the four uncles bridges after ordering them? I was added to the list after emailing sdpickups back in nov 2021.

I think you’re going to have to message Four Uncles Restorations on Messenger through their Facebook page. My inquiry was responded to within a day or so and they told me it would be a few weeks between being put on the list and getting the bridge.

Sure enough, I reached out via FB messenger and heard back right away. Emailing Dave Stephens was the problem ;/

I'm grabbing two of them. One for my 1953/56 conversion and one for my 1962 ES345.
