You haven't called them yet???No, do you think I can call customer service to ask them about the guitar?

I just noticed that the side dots are red tortoise in color. That is so cool.
Wow, I can’t wait to get home from work so I can check the wrong side of the neck! All Reissues have them, some are more red / lighter than others. All my Reissues have them on both sides of the neck, the only Gibson southpaw privilege...
Well, I called Gibson and I was right that the color is VOS antique metallic teal, the fretboard is Indian rosewood and there is no mention of pinstripes so it was probably done by an artist after the original purchase. That does not bother me because I think they are very cool. All Reissues have them, some are more red / lighter than others. Ohhhh, I thought you meant we all did.Thin binding at cutaway for all historic Rs, maple visible with clear spray finishes....
Yup, only lefties get dots both sides, as is historically accurate!
I called customer service and they confirmed that the color is Antique Metallic Teal but there was no mention of pinstripes in their database so it must have been done by an artist outside of Gibson.Lovely guitar! So, have you found out if the pinstriping was done at the factory?
