• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a 2019 R9 in Kindred Burst. Mine is actually the one that the Gibson custom shop used for promo pics on social media. I think they may have used it in some ads as well. If mine is any indicator...I think they got things right with the 2019's. I am mainly a 50's Junior guy...and this is the first reissue LP that has felt like a keeper to me.

Its got a nice neck profile....perfect weight. The acoustic resonance is similar to my Juniors. Plugged in it can be a little on the bright side...which to me is not a bad thing at all. It reminds me of a good Tele at times. But the controls work really well & its easy to dial in whatever you need.

Here's my 2018 CME R9 Kindred. Prob the best guitar I've ever owned . 8.5lbs of pure mojo.

I’m curious about the muleskinner amp, can you elaborate about it?
Sorry, I just saw this. It's based on a 5E3 tweed Deluxe but with some changes to the circuit to allow for a tighter response, more headroom, and can handle humbuckers nicely. Unfortunately, I think the pandemic forced him to halt amp building :-( It's the best tweed Deluxe style amp I've ever played or owned and that includes original '57, Clark Beaufort, and Tungsten Crema Wheat.

not sure if this one fits in; viewing in person it's a dark Burgundy around the edges which doesn't translate well in photos.

one of the most unusual burst type finish colors IMO but again it has to be viewed in person to see the effect .......

Kindred of the day : 2019 CME (cherry seems to start fading)
8lbs 3oz of pure kindness, the best LP I ever owned (WCR Crossroad pickups surely have something to do with it)
