• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Help with identifying this Les Paul

Wow, that looks like a not-so-pro aging job. It will need a lot of work and it is not easy to date. It does look like a pancake body so it's probably early to mid 70s. Based on the pictures, I wouldn't spend more than $1500 on it.

Look at the logo. Neck looks one piece but may be 3. Big headstock no volute? Looks real. Real f'n messed up or call it altered. Appears to be very early 70, maybe? Better be a good price, this is not close to market value. Factor in repair or restoration cost. Evaluate playablity as well. At the right price, (you decide), you might end up with a very cool player. The early 70's Deluxe and Standards are excellent guitars.
