• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Bought my first R9!

I finally took the plunge and bought a 2021 Gibson LP 59 std from Long &Mcquade, definitely great guitars, it does have a couple flaws in the finish but it doesn’t deter the sound whatsoever 😉..

Wait a second...finish flaws don't deter the sound?
On a Les Paul, the wrong material switch tip can deter the sound!

Actually bought it at the Brampton location, there was also some nice 59s at The Burlington location!:)
I saw one in Burlington which is also a demo. $7999 if I recall. I could not find any marks on it. I should have bought it then as the prices are just going crazy.

Man, that is one gorgeous guitar! Love that BB finish. Play the living daylights out of that thing.

That is stunning!! What a fantastic flame!
So this was the Reissue rather than the 59 Standard... they all seem to be VOS. I haven't found one at Land M that isn't?
Seems odd one cannot get a 1960 reissie that has new looking hardware in Canada.
That is a super nice score!!

I second that, and add that I’d consider taking the poker chip off of this one too. If ya got it, flaunt it, eh? ;)

You have to wonder if, two or three years ago, the technician who finished off this guitar stood back and whistled and said, Job well done.

Really love the bourbon.

Someone said stunning, I concur. A much used jest around here circa late-Aughts was intentional overuse of the term 'Stunner' as a sobriquet applied to tops... but when it fits, it fits!

Congrats, enjoy in good health.
