• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I guess. Seems like a lot.
I look at this - Rick Neilsen's 1958 has seen substantial gigging, obviously. He still uses it.
Not to judge, just sayin.
Well some folks care for there gear differently than others do . Remember the image of the vintage Burst on the album with Surrender on it ? and the image is in black and white .

1200 gigs and the frets look perfect. How about a picture of the rest of the fret board?

He would put 3 guitars on at once. Can't be easy on the backs.
But broken pots? Is it hitting the mic stand? Floor? Seems excessive beyond hard stage use to me. Especially for a 2005.
I get that people care for their stuff differently.
Hendrix, for examole.

I’m curious how the silk screen Les Paul faded out to nothing? Played in the sun a lot for it to deteriorate?

How about that monster Hammer with 5 necks or more . That one has to weigh a tone ?

Super cool, and thanks for sharing the pics. I remember the stewmac article, "Four years without a bath!" :)
The difference between gig and GIG sure makes a difference.

Nope. there is no way my 2005 R8 would have done that.
The finish was way too thick and would have never checked or wore like that.
Where is the serial#? have to say faked and finish stripped.1a.JPG

I think your analysis is wrong. The finish looks original. Don't see lots of finish checking from the pics, but legit wear from the use. I have seen some pics and videos of him playing that guitar live over the years
