• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I don't remember seeing the red collection. Wow! Interesting that the 61 es-345 has the fret maker at first like a 355., and the natural has it at the third. Learned something new today. Thanks Mike.

Yup, some of the 1961 345s had the first fret inlay.
Looks cool!

Wow! What fun!
The 1959 stoptail ES355, the Blonde 1959 ES345 and the 1962 ES350 are my favorites...but the 335s are pretty awesome too!
What are Mike S.'s favorites? (It must be hard to pick one - or even three or four favorites from that collection!)

I like them all. Played the 1964 cherry ES-335 with my band mates this weekend. Was channeling my inner envy of Eric Clapton.

Oy vey Michael a bounteous collection of such goodness my boy, vot can I say !!
So cool, cheers Mike (y)

I may have asked you this before but what is the neck like on the '58 335, fat or otherwise.
And, is the cherry '59 355 a rarity in that finish.

The '58 has a big fat neck that feels really good to play. It is a great guitar!

I don't think that cherry for the '59 355 was rare at all - quite common, really.

I am glad you have these.

It is awesome to be able to gaze on their collective beauty together allowing one to look for changes etc.

What an awesome collection.

Would it be 'kinky' to have you photograph them on hardwood?

O.K... so a serious question, how different do they all feel. I'm guessing the bodies all feel the same, but the necks is a rather different story.I have this `61 reissue ES-335 with the stoptail (no abr-1.) and it seem similar to my `64 reissue except the neck. but I love both! How do you decide which one to take?
