• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Has anyone been following the launch of the Origin Effects...

Demos of mine...

DIRTY: PRS Custom 22 into the Origin Revival drive into Clark Beaufort (Wolfetone Dr V neck and Marshallhead bridge)

CLEAN: PRS Custom 22 into the Origin Revival drive into Clark Beaufort (Wolfetone Dr V neck and Marshallhead bridge)

Allman Brother style riffing with a Zemaitis A24 into the Origin Revival drive into Clark Beaufort (Tyson Precious and Grace )
Very nice music. I must admit I had to look at the Beaufort web site regarding the amp. Nice platform. I think the Revival is the best thing I bought for my rig since my R9.

Ding..........

That's the sound of the penny finally dropping.

Just bought an old Matchless back that I owned in the past, and hardly any fiddling with either the amp or the pedal ( using some of the settings posted here ) there it was.

I was definitely missing a trick with this pedal...I'm grateful for the guidance in this thread.

Thanks Lads.

Whoops...forgot to find that old phone.

What were you trying to use it through before?

I use mine on everything but it really shines with my Matchlesss Clubman and my Fender Blackface Deluxe.

Settings close to what the manual says.

Particularly with the Clubman which is VERY bright it just changes the beast dramatically.

I was using it with a Gartone Ace 20 - basically a take on a Deluxe Reverb on one channel, and a Super on the other. A fantastic amp when working, however an ongoing fault that became increasingly frustrating enough to simply lose patience with it resulted in me moving it on - obviously with full disclosure to the new owner. Typically on the day when the new owner came to pick it up, I simply couldn't replicate the fault. The bugger continued to take the piss out of me to the last...

I'm now putting it through a little 9 watt Matchless, remember the Little Monster that they made in really small numbers, and stopped because they were more expensive to make than they could sell them for...well I've tracked my old one down and bought it. I've posted it loads of time in the past, I'm sure you'll recall it.

So, armed with the amp and the Revival Drive, and a brain reset, it took me 5 minutes to give my forehead a slap and exclaim "of course" . I then proceeded to hook my Audio Kitchen Big Trees up in the chain, and using the Small Trees side of the pedal ( essentially a valve driven boost and the best I've ever come across ) I'm literally cooking on the proverbial. I've now got the head space to simply learn this pedal, with the realisation that it's not that complicated, even though it covers quite a lot of ground. I dig there's a lot of set and forget on both channels as you've previously mentioned.

The lesson I've took from this is that I have some knowledge, but sometimes not all the knowledge I could use.

I was going to shift this pedal on, that would have been a mistake.

So thanks again Lads for sharing your experiences
