• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

    Greenie… worth the weight😏

Nice! I was doing something similar, and found one with a top I love at exactly the same weight as yours.

    Which One is Closest??

Closest would need to have a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, so that rules out many previously mentioned. There were some limited Braz runs within the past five years that would technically be the closest Gibson has come to recreating the vintage Burst.

Guitar Stolen From Me is on Reverb!

Open cases with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection Agency immediately, stating clearly that this business is knowingly selling stolen goods. I was in a similar situation a few years ago, and the CPA agent with whom I worked put the absolute fear of God into the store owner...

FS: Gary Rossington #025 Tom Murphy Aged

Unique opportunity to own an early Gary Rossington model LP, #025, hand-aged by Tom Murphy himself. This is a special guitar even among this sought-after run, with a top that is remarkably similar to the one of the real Bernice. Looks, feels, plays and sounds like a real vintage Burst. Comes...

Does anyone here have experience teaching at the college level?

I work at a university, though I am on the administrative staff and not a faculty member. I do work with faculty quite a bit. I can tell you that higher ed is a great work environment. You'll make lots of good connections and have many wonderful conversations, with colleagues and students alike...

    Historic Make over

Posers and Tone Robbers aside (we Burst folks are definitely weirdos), HM does good work. I do agree with an earlier comment that their default "Uncle Lou" neck profile is too thin, so proceed with caution there is you decide to go this route.
