• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

No joy. Time to let it all go.

I don't know why, but after about 15 years of being away from this forum I logged in today and saw your message Al. Dammit, buddy, keep going. It's a long way and time from Yerington, NV until today but keep going. Les Paul himself didn't play nearly as well at the Iridium in New York as he...

Help with strange static electricity issue

Finally solved the problem just over a year ago. Had a pro copper tape shielding job done by Billy O' Reilly in Phoenix, AZ. Excellent results. Just took me 15 years to get that sorted out!

    Strings

I avoided flat wounds for years but since I play a Ric from time to time I found that these flat wounds give a real even tone on that guitar. Tried the same set on my R9 and wouldn't go back now.

Peter Florance, maker of Voodoo pickups has passed

I remember calling Peter at his place in Pennsylvania to order that pair of his pickups for my 2004 Les Paul. He didn't answer the 'phone but called back about half an hour later. "Sorry man, can't hear the 'phone when I'm out in the barn with my Les Paul and Marshall stacks. One of the reasons...

Peter Florance, maker of Voodoo pickups has passed

Sorry to read about this sad event. I bought a pair of Peter's '59 Voodoos 15 years ago for my 2004 Historic LP. Hundreds of gigs later they still sound great.

    50th Anniversary 1960 Custom

I had an early Historic Custom which really disappointed me so I was really surprised when this arrived today. Absolutely flawless out of the box and sounds great. A tad heavy for me at 9lbs 5oz. but I could live with that! O.K. It's DOUBLE the cost of the one that I had in 1996. Is it...

    Rossington Les paul

Was this limited run Historic REALLY CAT scanned and then built accordingly to the specs of Gary Rossington's own Les Paul? (with the broken headstock) If so, what information could have been achieved?
