• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

    Your Best Concert Ever?

For me, Neil Young, January 24,1973 at Madison Square Garden. We saw him in New Haven, and were floored by how awesome the music was. Then my buddy Mitch got tickets to this show. Show was opened both nights by Linda Rondstadt. Midway through the concert (I think right after Cinnamon Girl or...

    Gibson ES335 (2021) - QC issues?

It seems strange that dropping a couple grand on a guitar should get such inconsistencies, but that is not uncommon. If it plays and sounds good I'd leave it alone.

Robins can be vicious. We were terrorized by one Robin who kept attacking its reflection in our windows. This went on for over a month. We taped newspaper over the glass - it ripped the paper off to get at the "other" bird. We put up a plastic owl to scare it away. It roosted on it to rest...

Nice Weather Is Here! Anyone Else Taking Out the Summer Car or Bike?

This is my fourth Mustang. I had a '96 coupe, a '99 GT vert, a 2016 GT and this one. I switched to a Chrysler Crossfire Roadster between 2005-2016. That car was a blast to drive, if a little underpowered.

what was Gibson thinking when they designed the Burstbuckers ?

I only did that once. I got a deal on a set of Fender '69 Custom Shop pickups and didn't even own a strat. Shopped around until I found a really nice MIM strat and a buddy built me built a whole new pickguard with all new electronics to swap out. I is amazing!

    The Sunday Thread (In Exile)

Good morning! There is another Sunday thread over at TFF this morning, probably why you got this one rolling this AM. Getting shot #2 on Monday and stitches out on Tuesday. Hopefully my reaction to shot #1 allows me to get to the doc on Tuesday.

Nice Weather Is Here! Anyone Else Taking Out the Summer Car or Bike?

My Mustang isn't as fun as a Porsche, but it is still a blast to drive. Summer tires about to go on and all-season back in the shed until November. The summer tires are on black rims.
