• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Also i forgot to mention, regarding the proce of this R9 the OP is talking about...yes of course you can get it cheaper. My dream R9 is the 2019 60Th Anniversary R9.I like VOS finishes but i prefer a gloss model. In June of 2020, i was looking online, and found a shop that had a Brand new, 2019...

Callaham Cold Rolled Steel Stop Tailpiece << VS >> Faber Tone-Lock Aluminum Stop Tailpiece w/ ToneLock Studs/Spacers

Oh ok, that explains that,...awsome man, i hear the Pigtails are good, they supposedly make them with the larger brass saddles like the origional 50’s were, and a more vintage correct body.

Callaham Cold Rolled Steel Stop Tailpiece << VS >> Faber Tone-Lock Aluminum Stop Tailpiece w/ ToneLock Studs/Spacers

Also i forgot to ask...How do you know its a cheap no name tailpiece? Forgive my ignorance but , i believe the stop tailpiece, that my 2019 R9 and 2018 R0, have nothing written on the bottom of them... i think my 2016 Gibson USA les paul Standard says “Advanced Plating” on the bottom, but...

Callaham Cold Rolled Steel Stop Tailpiece << VS >> Faber Tone-Lock Aluminum Stop Tailpiece w/ ToneLock Studs/Spacers

The OP here said that he bought the guitar used with an allready replaced tailpiece, so he is looking to replace it with a better model. He could go stock, sure but since he has to buy one, why not Pigtail, or sure even stock

Oh....ok man,..i think the Pigtail model would be cool then, i hear those are really vintage correct or as close too it as possible.I think another member mentioned that as well
