Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Probably some of you asked themselves the same question at some point, so there we go.
In the past 5 years ive invested most of my time into my family and my company and dont have much time left to play let alone gig with a band. Still now and again when things are going slow i play the crap...
I finally found a Marshall PTP, early 1973 Superbass to complement my signed 'Bass' cab i had for 12 years or so. Strangely enough i never ran into a nice (super)bass for all those years untill now, let the record state Henk is slow or picky :jim
Tried it at first with an London city cab...
Hi!
Today i would like to hear your thoughts on this big guy, its a 25/50 anniversary LP custom. I own it for a very long time, the powerfull bluesy tone it has acoustically is just awsome!
So, about this guitar i can only say its BIG, heavy and very powerfull sounding. Its an oddball, kind...
Dear gents,

Hi guys!
I thought it might be fun to post some info on my SG that i think is pretty much done now. I bought this abandoned project about two years ago, it needed more work, but was priced as such.
Basically i bought this guitar for the amazing neck and wood, its just the accumulation of...
Hey guys,
I have a JCM800 2205 'brownface' head which is great, but i just feel the need for another head.
So i was looking for a plexi head, a bass 50w plexi head or maybe even a PA type of tone. BUT, since i usually play just straight into the amp and i am accustomed to the reverb of the...
Hi guys,
I went to the Oldenburg vintage show yesterday, nearly didnt go because i had really crappy week at work and it was a pretty long drive. But anyway, glad i went, definately a worthwile show for european standards.
The selection of vintage Gibsons was pretty nice, very little new...
Hey guys,
Some of you might remember me searching for a Goldtop historic a few months ago, didnt find anything worthwile then so i settled for a great '72 custom. Offcourse just two weeks after i bought the custom this '82 30th anniversary Goldtop popped up. A seller i allready knew traded it...
Hi gents,
Heavily LPF induced NGD, i just picked it up, drove a good part of the day but was well worth the effort.
In the thread below we were discussing some videos posted on youtube by Gregor Hilden, he is a german guitarist and buys and sells gear. I found it really interesting to go...
Hi!
Ive been looking around for a nice LP and im trying to narrow it all down a bit. Just out of curiousity, which one would you pick and why?
'79 LP KM (Kalamazoo Model, vintage burst)
Historic R6, probably '03, '04 or '07
'91 40th Anniversary, the black standard with p100's

Hi!
Yesterday evening i picked up this nice amp. I really dislike driving at night, but the amp and the nice welcome at the sellers house was well worth the effort.
Only had a couple of hours sleep, i just seemed to forget the time for some strange and unexplainable reason :hank :salude...
Dear gents,
Ive been wanting a late 60s, early 70s Marshall 1992 superbass since i had my late 69/70 vintage 'bass' Marshall cab.
That has been over 10 years now! I really cant believe it is but my 2205 has done excellently those years.
Lately ive come across 3 nice superbasses not far...
Okok :salude
Wat things matter most about your #1 GUITAH!
Mine:
Neck, shape, feel, finish and youknow, that "THIS IS AN AXE" kind of hammerlike feel :dh
Bridge i play alot of rythm guitarpieces so there
Acoustical sound Ok maybe its first, but i feel the need to be able to breath...
Okok maybe a bit of a bold statement but anyway...
Today i spend a few hours in a shop which had about 20 historics rangeing from 2003 till 2009, tried 12 on a vintage fender amp and acoustically.
Im really sorry to say this but i couldnt find any MAYOR difference between the lot, OKOK there...
Dear gents,
Lurking around this forum got me looking around for a next potential LP again i'm afraid.
My Gas has always been unusually forcefull and my fear of doing something rash like selling half my collection to buy some hugely overpriced burst is growing day by day.
Ive got a serious...
