• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

    ES 335 Headstock Medallion

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I LOVE the Murphy Lab blonde 335's. Decided it was redundant to get one because I thought I already had an amazing Historic blonde 335. Now , I'm not sure if I should get the Murphy Lab. Wondering if there would be any perceptible difference between the...

    ES 335 Headstock Medallion

Interesting. I got it from Chicago Music Exchange new back in 2018. Everything about it looks like an Historic...VOS finish, the yellowish tint to the logo (unlike the USA models). Trying to find the COA. What about this guitar wouldn't be Historic spec? Pickups? Neck tenon?

    ES 335 Headstock Medallion

They're both Historics. So, I guess another question is...are there Historics and Custom Shop Historics?

    ES 335 Headstock Medallion

I've got a question regarding the headstock medallions on my two Historic ES 335's. They are slightly different. Is that due to the fact that one is a '59 RI and the other is a '61? Or is it due to the fact that one was made in Memphis and the other in Nashville?

    Banker Excalibur for Sale

For sale is a 2022 Banker Excalibur. Matt Hughes is a true artisan. Beautiful Korina body with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The color of the guitar against the chair is closest to the actual color. It's exactly what you would expect a '58 Korina Explorer to look like. Wonderful checking...

    Rolled Truss Rod Covers

Up until what years were the TR covers made with the rolled plastic? And were they used on all models or just the LP's?

    Fat necked Explorer?

I've got a Banker Excalibur that has the fattest neck of any guitar I've ever owned.

Aged Plastic for Custom Shop '61 ES-335

I just picked up a Gibson Custom Shop cherry red '61 ES-335 from Dave's Guitars in Milwaukee. I wanted to replace the hardware with some aged pieces. As for the plastic, who would you recommend for aged top hat reflector knobs? Historic Makeovers and MGL don't have anything. StewMac has some...

Sure glad my ear isn't that sophisticated, because I loved every minute of that.

    Banker Excalibur For Sale

I have no affiliation with the seller. Just thought this was a real beauty and you don't see these come up for sale very often. :peace2 https://reverb.com/item/33840838-banker-custom-58-spec-excalibur-korina-natural-lightly-aged-w-brazilian-rosewood-fingerboard-2019

    My New Tiger

Here is my new Jerry Garcia Tiger replica. First picture is next to the Wolf I had built by the same luthier last year. The craftsmanship on these instruments is mind boggling.

    Memphis ES-335...Where to go Next?

So I picked up a 2018 Memphis '59 ES-335 Blonde Dot from CME a little while back. I'd been in love with this particular model ever since I first saw Dave Edmunds play "From Small Things..." on MTV more than 35 years ago. My dream guitar is an original '59, but that's not likely to happen. So...
