Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
I understand that the trees that were harvested back in the '50's were probably older than todays current harvest. But when Bloomfield was delivering (to my ears) killer sounds and tones in 1967, it was on an 8 year old guitar. J. Page in 1969 on a 10 year-old guitar. All of my current guitars...
I have been a member of this forum since approximately 2002-2003, although I had stopped playing music for about 10 years, took a break and therefor am currently listed as a much newer resident...but in the original 'Mugshots' section on the Home-sight page...out of several hundred or so...
Not to mention a preference for the Kluson Sealfast tuners….!
Which reminds me, back when I had my ‘66 Byrd, I was looking for a way to clean up my old and very tarnished gold hardware without removing anymore gold plating. After considering all the usual metal polishes, I thought I’d try 7%...
This was Jerry Garcia's 1966 Gibson Byrdland, and I remember

I'm unfortunately not very inclined to such a task, however I am going to ask my luthier if he is. He put in a new wiring harness for my Epi Casino and even grumbled a bit about that task.
I just tried the 'dental' mirror approach, but I can't see 'shite'.
As stated above, I have a 2013 Gibson Memphis Standard issue, ES-335.
I would like some information on the value of the 'pots' I have, as I am seriously considering upgrading to 500k...unless they were already 'standard' back in 2013...?
It is a laborious task to undertake...through the 'F'...
