Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
What is the general opinion I wonder about Oxblood coloured tops.
I found a 57 M2M that I kinda like but I've never seen one up close and personal, and while I don't choose a top with this at the top of my concerns, I do wonder about possible resale down the road.
Is OxBlood the Bee's knees...
Really enjoying this one. I think it's called double dirty lemon burst? The pics show it a bit more orange than it actually is. I like the way Gibson is doing their aging. I traded in a custom shop LP standard tonight and brought this baby home. Very articulate, and a ton of overtones and...
Elliot Easton
Berton Averre
Ritchie Blackmore
What's yours?
(try to keep it under 5)
And why is it some people with 'x' years of practice just have all the melody and chops and skill, while other people with the same 'x' years just can't quite get there. It's like the magic bullet just hits...
Did anyone see Jimmy Fallon lately? (for me Aug 29)
The Cars were on. I was sooo pleased to see them together, played a great new song from their May,2011 new album, "Move like this". Elliot was playing his Blue SG Signature Series.
I've always loved Elliot's clever melodic solo's and...
I recently sold off a Marshall Plexi HW 1959 with Hand Wired Marshall 4 x 12 (1960) Cab.
I actually bought this right in the box off the truck from the Dealer so I'm positive it was only in my hands since it had just arrived from Marshall to Dealer that day.
I rarely played it, being a...
I was noodling on a vos Ebony R0, I look over and realized Betty the Schnauzer moved from the carpet over to inside the case. I had considered moving out a guitar or two, but I guess she won't approve so R0 stays.
I didn't feel right about leaving Lucy Einstein out of the scene, so I hope...
All 2011 Historics. 1 Western Desert 1958 Stinger (BB 1959 it is believed); R0 Ebony VOS; 1959 Yamano Stanley burst (I believe also known as Sunrise T-Burst); R0 Ebony Gloss; R0 Gold Top Dark Back.
I noticed, the 2 Ebony R0's in this collection have different knobs. One is VOS and the other...
2011 R0 Gold Top Dark Back: 9lbs even.
I always wanted a dark back gold top, was not in love with the bigger necks, and finally got my wish with the R0.
I had recently purchased a vos Ebony 2011 R0 and could not decide if I should have polished it off or kept the vos. The answer was, purchase a glossy ebony 2011 R0. 8lbs 9 ounces .
I just love Ebony pauls.
Thanks again to Mark at Mark's Guitar Loft for helping me find yet again another...
I never realized just how much I love black/Ebony guitars before today. Including but especially Les Pauls..
They don't have figured tops, or fancy this or that...but they are sexy and almost evil :)
Am I the only one?
Anyone tried or heard either/both of these?
I've got a DC30 and I believe the NightHawk is the ef86 (channel 2) of this amp.
The lightning is more Channel one?
Looking for a amp to play around the house.
I have owned and wold a 2061x. I've never had the pleasure of playing a 1974x.
Could someone lend some experienced thoughts to the differences? (other than of course, combo vs cab/head).
Hello Everyone.
Wanted to show off some Historic's I recently acquired. All under 9 lbs. All from Marks Guitar Loft. All fantastic guitars with very dark fretboards. Can't say enough good things about Mark. Never had better guitars (and I've had Yamano R-9, Murphy Bloomfield, R-9 cherry...
