Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Hi,
Over here in Sweden in the north of EU a guy got contacted by the police for advertising a guitar with Brazilian rosewood,
they told him he has commited a crime by advertising it on a local site similar to 'Craigslist'
he is supposed to come in for questioning and bring the guitar so...
I've have GAS for a black Sg Std with early 60´s features, small pickguard and slim neck.
I already have a 61 reissue in Cherry and had a 2010 black standard , dont like the fat 50´s neck on the std so I sold it.
The 61 reissue , Really love that one.
My problem is that i want the long...
Hi ,
What Do You think of the quality and looks of the PU routes on this Gibson 335 from 2009?
Another one was opened for reference , and it looked exactly the same, made in 2011.
Have anyone of You ES owners seen this ?
And why Dont You think Gibson would spend an extra minute to...
Hi,
I am having thoughts on IF and what to do to the following issues on my 61 Lp Standard , it is an original Bigsby equipped guitar:
Bigsby
1 The handle, bracket, roller and spring is missing. The roller is replaced with a shorter one with holes instead of the 'spikes' so no bracket...
I just got this old Custom , really nice guitar in good condtion, original cracked finish , no breaks. It plays well also.
Most vital parts are original , it has had a stop tail so drilled for studs, that can be fixed quite easy I think. The brown colour is pretty forgiving
*pickups...
I bought this 2011 SG 61 Reissue cause i liked how it played , and it was lightweigt at 6.4 lbs.
It also had a dark fretboard which i like a lot.
What I didnt like was the high gloss finish and the chrome hardware , including the screw bushing tuners.
So that was replaced for a more 'aged...

Got mine yesterday , havent really got a good chance to try it out
with an amp yet , but it sounds nice unplugged and the B7 works fine with the roller bridge.
My only issue is that its a bit heavy , I´m used...
I have been thinking about this for a while, Back in 58-59 Bursts weren't sold with reference to flame or plain from Gibson , right? The price was the same. How do You think dealers reacted when the ordered 3 pieces and could get 3 plain ones OR 3 flame monsters? I mean this sure would be a...
Has this burst been discussed ?

What I am a little curious is this picture where the fretboard meets (or was supposed to meet) the Rhythm pickup ring.
Now , how did that happen?
Factory mistake, repair or what do You think ?
Just got this one , great guitar, light weight, sounds and plays as good as you would expect!
It must be one of the earliest with a stamped seria number, January February 1961 , or even late 1960 right? The Gibson ledgers has the numbers going in the 300 range from late february for...
