Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Fair enough... you do run a for-profit business after all.
Having said that... patience isnt a virtue for me anymore at age 60... I dont even buy green bananas lol.
Matt: I'll respectfully complain one last time that its INSANE for you folks not to offer some fat necked Explorers (other than the $4k and up Custom Shop/Historic/M2M stuff). Why not "rebrand" the antique natural mahogany model as a "50's Explorer" and sell it with a fat neck?
This is the 3rd...
For the "good wood vs bad wood" folks... "too middy... too bright"... whatever... someone should tell them that amps have these knobs on them that control things like bass, treble, mids, etc.
I'm 60: I have played exactly ONE crappy Les Paul in my life (out of a hundred or more). Different...
Anyone aware of any fat necked Explorer models/years? I mean I can pay $4-5 large and get one... but there's loads of these floating around for reasonable money (well under $3 grand).
I do realize that M2M will solve the problem... but again, I'm now into $5k territory.
It just doesn't seem that difficult to do what JB Abides suggested in the earlier post.
Although I will say... not offering fat necks at reasonable prices has probably saved me a lot of money lol.
Been looking for an inexpensive Explorer for awhile now... because I want a fat neck (the R8 profile is PERFECT for me).
Why doesn't Gibson make ALL product lines and every price point, with some fat necked offerings? I mean how hard would it be to have the designation "50's neck" or 60's neck"...
