Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Manuel Raimundo 1979, PLC (self-built) 2001, both classicals. Only electric currently a brilliant LP Classic Custom 2012 in Antique Natural. Amp is a recent NOS (never played by first owner) Fender Blues Deluxe (Mex), with a 2x vintage Philips-ECC83 powered Matchless HotBox for a stunning palette of distortion-types. Effects by MXR, Morley, and Vahlbruch.
Previous Gear
Aria classical from 1980, Gibson SG Standard Ebony 1991, Gibson LP Studio WB 2011. Amps: Marshall 8080 Valvestate, Fender Blues DeVille (USA) 2x12, Matchless HotBox. Thank Goodness I found a well-worn but, inside, faultless HotBox (again a Sampson-era) recently; after having sold my first one 7 years ago. Don't EVER sell your HotBox for whatever reason, you'll regret it.
Musical Influences
Classical: Currently I play Brouwer, Villa-Lobos, Domeniconi, Tarrega. The SG I played in my hardrock/metal-phase, now it's bluesy pentatonics most of the time, while delving into more mellow stuff recently; exploring clean-channel playing a bit more.
