Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
That is good - I'd forgotten about that feature - I guess the only question is whether it's from asking prices or selling prices. Here's the one for TD's (like mine)... and I suspect the $22k price was for a TDN (blond/natural).
It's been a while since I've been around here, been working on music and spending less time with guitars. I'm in the process of selling a lot of my stuff after closing down one large studio and dealing with the space restrictions in the new, smaller place. I'm down to the stuff I really like...
Can't believe I'm the first to post about the death of one of the most iconic Gibson ES players of all time. Not to mention singers, songwriters...
There will never be another like him.
I went by the Lark Street site to look at the '66 345 in the other thread, and saw this... way beyond my means, but good Lord, what a guitar, and one of the Other Gibson landmarks...
Huge photo, sorry.
If I had the dosh...
No connection. Bigger photos at the link but I can't post them.

No, not that kind…
I bought a refin black '62 335 a bunch of years ago. It was sold as having a headstock break, very nicely repaired, supposedly by Ray Parker, of Parker guitars fame. At the time, I didn't know enough to notice the low position of the crown on the headstock, and so I had not...
After years of never seeing white SG Juniors, suddenly there's an epidemic on ebay. All priced in the same ballpark, we have a '63, a '64 and a '65. All in pretty much the same condition, except for an added Bigsby and "Custom Made" plaque that the seller of the '64 says, of course, is "all...
I have an old National lap steel that I've used for years. It's always had pretty low output, but I figured that's the way things were in 1947.
I was changing the strings yesterday and pulled the pickup cover off to make it easier. The pickup design has the magnets at either end of the coil...
Help! Ground wire on wraptail guitars (Firebird I)
I'm in the middle of trying to get my newly refinished FB I up and running.
Problem is, there's no ground wire. I stripped this guitar immediately after buying it three or four years ago, then it sat in its case until last year, when I found...
I just got my (now) Pelham Blue '62 Junior back from the guy who did an amazing job with the paint. I was all excited, getting all the parts out of the drawer where I had stored them... and no pickguard. I've looked everywhere in my disorganized shop, no luck. So, while I'm sure I'll find it...
...and I didn't even know he ever played one.
Check in around 9:00 (or watch the episode, or all 8 parts - I can't imagine a better way to spend an hour or so - there's one that has them all together, but the video quality is pretty poor)...
