    I have tried both the JBL E130 and EV15L in my Vibroverb and I prefer the JBL, I also prefer SRV's early live tone with the JBLs.

    I put them in my RI' 63 Vibroverb as I wanted them to have a bit of headroom and also for the power handling, I also currently have the 15" 1518 installed in my RI" '64 Vibroverb (the one with the Diaz SRV mods).

    Yes, and the Russkie Reissue Tung-Sol 5881s sound really good in there ;) I still prefer late 50s GE preamp tubes especially a 12AY7 in V1.
