• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Lack of maintenance??? Listen up folks!!! For the simple fact that the site even exists at this point, is a fuckin' miracle. AND... While I've spent a huge amount of time and effort keeping that site alive, I have absolutely NO control over upgrades, or anything else related to the "back end" of the site...

Let's be honest, okay... The site generates exactly ZERO dollars, while sucking up monthly fees like a Hoover. Meanwhile, the average user participation is roughly 5 members per day, and the most popular thread on the forum is about "Sunday Morning Coffee"...

To be even more honest... The forum world, in general, is all but dead, replaced by other forms of social media. That's a FACT!!! I've actually offered to buy the domain a few times, then I came to the irrefutable conclusion that it just isn't worth it...

And YES!!! I'm PISSED OFF!!!

So... Any other opinions on this shit???

Geeezzzzz man...
Ken, sometimes we all wonder why we put ourselves out, only until we remember why we do.

I love the old adage..." takers will always take, givers will always give "

Keep giving Mate, it suits you.

Mike and Ken, thank you so much for what you do.

I've had the idea of reaching out to younger players of indie. Those folks play a ton of Jazzmasters and Jags, and of course, Mustang, P and J Basses. It'd be very interesting to talk to these folks and find out a bit about how they approach the guitar. I was raised on 60s and 70s rock, a bit of blues too. These younger players, many of them, don't come from that school of playing. What they do takes skill and emotion. I'd be willing to reach out somehow on social media and try to drum up site members.

We didn't intend to make TFF a boys club, and it would be refreshing to discuss guitars with young men and women or even teens who are excited about playing.

I would also like to give a monthly donation to keep the site going.

Ken and Fraz, you are both excellent guys. No need to get sore. Please, let's all go back to TFF and enjoy our place since it has finally been fixed.

I can't thank the owners enough for doing this for us. And it's time for us to try and post more, make the place more interesting for new members, and if it's accepted, to donate periodically for maintaining the forum.

Once again, a big thanks to @MikeSlub et al

Hey, dudes, let's go back to the site and have fun. And let's try to bring in some new, young members or members who play non-blues or bluesy rock.

I've posted my idea on TFF.

Get back, babies, let's rock the site again. We're all old farts. Let's get some new blood going. The young have a lot to teach us.

quick question, I don't see the padlock in the address bar. Do I need to change something on my computer?
Not sure what you are looking for. When I look at the address bar for the Fender Forum, it is an https: site now.
