• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've just returned from another guitar safari to Boyds, Maryland outside of Washington DC to pick up this 1970 Fender Rosewood Telecaster and 1969 Gibson SG Standard! I've been looking for a good Rosewood Telecaster for a long time so I felt lucky to find this one. The seller has owned both of these since 1982. She said she traded a Gretsch Country Gentleman for this 1970 Rosewood Telecaster and a 1977 Fender Stratocaster. That sounds like a pretty good trade to me.

You can contact me here to sell a Fender guitar or sell a Gibson guitar.

I remember those rosewoods being pretty darn heavy.

Yeah the early ones were solid Rosewood with no weight relief. Those are crazy heavy. This is a later version that's chambered inside so it's not quite so heavy. I'll weigh it and post the weight but I believe it's under 10 lbs (not light for sure but not crazy heavy).

I was going to say that - I saw a Rosewood Tele that was up there with the beefiest LP Customs I'd ever seen.
I was interested, and it was a good price, but it had a huge hunk hacked out of it, right where my arm would rest while playing.
