• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Would love to hear the comments made by wives/spouses/significant others when you opened the case and showed them the condition of these guitars. More than any other release, I have to imagine there was a lot of puzzled faces when they saw what your money bought.

And to be clear, I think they are awesome.

What guitar? As Slub said to me one day<!-- react-text: 187 -->, "two sure fire strategies: 1. The "empty case" routine -- walk in and out of the house with an empty case for several days, saying you are going to rehearsal, etc., and then on the day that you actually buy the guitar she won't pay attention when you walk in with the case. 2. An alternative - tell her that its curves and beauty remind you of her, and name the guitar after her!" :salude

Was anyone ever brave enough to check to see if the pickups are double creams under the covers?

Disclaimer: I'm not that brave. :hank

#22 is very nice.
HOG has had some really outstanding tops on some of the CC's- a couple of the Nicky's were just stunning. The one above is in that class.

I have MM007. They call it "Gloss" on the COA but it's VOS. The COA is hand signed. The guitar is not.

It has the shaven down bridge. I don't see that on all of them. Makes it very comfy to play. I'm going to have that duplicated on my R7.

Weight is 8 lbs, 5 oz.

I knew I was going to buy it the second I strummed the first chord.

Interesting to note that I swear it was less flamed when I bought it. Maybe I'm just getting to know it better.

Best guitar I've ever owned, and that's been an embarrassment of riches.

Great pics in this thread. I’m a massive PJ fan and especially MM.

I own a 2016 gloss R9, which I love but unfortunately don’t think I’ll ever get to buy one of these…

I am lucky enough to have a cool piece of memorabilia though. In 2014, at PJ in Amsterdam, during the encore Mike picked up his set list, signed it, walked down to me on the rail and handed it to me.

Who know 2018 could be the year I win the lottery :hee

I sold a really nice guitar to fund mine. It was a bit of a hostile take over on my part. I had the amount I had and I called the store like 6 times a day grinding them until they sold it to me for what I had.

Count me in! Number #057 Aged is here.

Finally could get hold of a McCready Aged I've been lusting for the last few years. I christened her "Molly". Just because.

What a guitar, what a great ROCK guitar.

I see they have a discoloured area on both front and back sides, laquered, no raw wood. What's that? Was the original guitar oversprayed?
