• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What would we call this color burst?

Faded Southern Iced Washed Cherry Teaburst..., with a Lemon Twist lol
All joking aside, Gibson has 350 names for 4 or 5 colors....and after a while 99% of them look the same to me.
Other than Dirty Green Lemon or Green Onions or whatever its called, I cant tell the difference.
With the purpose being to have a Cherry SB having gone through various stages of aging and fading, one man's Iced Tea is another man's faded washed cherry...etc
for example...my '20 60th Anniv R0. This is a one off color.....trans amber center, with more of a brownish-red rim, with a brown back/sides/neck stain, instead of red stain/dye.
People have said..."I love your Iced Teaburst" or "Is that Washed Cherry".. Ive been in shops where two brand new Historics are next to each other, colors looking identical, but listed with different colors
I have to give it to the guys in marketing...they've done their job

I think it's really in the Lemon Burst family ,with the slightest twinge of green thrown in for good measure .

Thank you and yes, you did indeed state it right!!!!!!
figure is awesome, color is great...but the best part, it plays and feels amazing. Ive had it almost 1 year and it still blows me away every time I pick it up. Actually same goes for the other 2 M2M's, the CS-336 and the R7 Goldtop.
Ive said it many times, but now its true....I'm done with electrics. Right now I'm working on specs for a CS J-45.

I am glad I didn't get it wrong . I was trying to post an image of my first Made 2 Measure from our beloved friend and I am trying to resize the image to fit . What I was struck by was our 2 tops could be from the same tree . Absurd as that sounds as they are not from the same tree , but the figure is close . This image is from my tech. 20200616_142726.jpg

I have to think the CS J-45 you are working on will be awesome and outstanding . I am not trying to peek , but will there be exotic features which are out of the ordinary ?

hmmmm maybe not exotic....of course it will have a nice fat/round neck.....still deciding on color...may just stay with the stock sunburst color....Grover tuners of course....
pretty straight forward....the more crazy I go with specs, the longer I wait and the higher the price goes!!

Okay that makes sense , and we do know the price does change when we deviate from the normal course . But that is the exact beauty of the Made 2 Measure program .

I started to write his screen name but did not feel comfortable . You are making me smile now (which we really can never do enough of ! ) To quote "send it to me post haste " The Post haste was my wrinkle .
He really desires two not have accolades, He keeps the Forum fresh & he's OURS !
