• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I am enjoying this new Songwriter more than I anticipated!

I passed on these 20 years ago and picked up a J-45 instead, after playing a bunch of Gibson Acoustics, including some of the J-185-EC Jumbos.

By nature I am a short scale guy, and then Martins for something different. Just as Fenders are my ALT-electrics... So this passed my interests way back when.

I guess it was just time, and this one came to me. Great feel and sweet tone.

Very cool guitar.
Do I remember right that it has a bit wider width at the nut?

1.725" on a non-standard for Gibson 25.5" with 12" radius. It's 'Martin-size' with 'Gibson-feel'... Thanks.

Not a Gibson acoustic player, but I feel compelled as a fellow lefty to admire such a beautiful find!

Thanks.

It's not a J-45 or even a Hummingbird (both I have and love)... This is Gibson's take on a Martin scale coupled with Rosewood/Sitka Spruce. Those more into a Martin vibe may appreciate the 'cross-over' vibe.
