• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

That's a sweet collection there. I especially love the copper top. I don't remember ever having seen one before.
I recently got the Coppertop in a trade. The Ebony board caught my attention. From what I’ve read, the Coppertop was part of a limited Metallic series run (only 200 made in 2002). It has a ‘50’s neck, solid non-weight relieved Mahogany body, Ebony board, and a very cool color. I like it.

There are CopperTop Classics from the early 2000's as well. It's a cool finish.

So how do you like the sound of your Custom relative to the others?

All three are very different guitars with slightly different sounds. I enjoy the variety. I’ve not had a chance to really compare (A-B) the guitars properly at volume.

I believe that the Custom has ‘57s which are my favorite humbucker pickup, so the Custom would probably take top honors.

This new Goldtop has Burstbusters which I believe should be close to the ‘57s. I’ve only spent about 1/2 hour with the Goldtop. Hopefully I’ll get to spend some time with it tomorrow.

Funny, since buying the Custom and the Coppertop top at the same time, the Coppertop has had the most playing time. Especially since I slightly modded it with Gibson Nickel plated pickup covers and a LP Custom pick guard. I’m also keeping the Custom in its case while not in use but my other guitar are in nice 6-guitar sand for much easier access.

Question...are all Studio's non-weight-relieved...? As I was thinking what you may be confirming.

I have a '96 Studio Gem Series, and it was heavier than my '85 LPC.

PS Nice guitar AND amp collection...!

I don’t believe so, I know two other Studio’s (2019’s) that I’ve owned were both weight relieved.
