• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Firebird 1 has landed.

sorry, no idea on pricing. …mine is a 2003 that has a perfect large round C neck profile and lightweight …it would be one of my last non-vintage guitars that I’d sell ..fwiw, I believe I paid around 3k or so for it in 05 ..pic w/mojoaxe non-bird pickguard that Dan made

Tell my wife!
Hahaha, well that makes sense. You do have to keep the peace at home.

17 years ago I sold my 1979 Trans Am and a room full of guitars to get a down payment so that we could buy a house. Due to that sacrifice I can buy guitars and muscle cars without any hassle from my wife. But I gave up so many things that I love. I still miss that car every single day. I now have a Challenger that’s way better than a Trans Am in so many ways but I still miss ole Smokey.

Custom color Firebirds and Thunderbirds are some of the hottest vintage pieces EVER! The one in my avatar is my 67 NR IV in Frost Blue. Of coarse no longer own it. Just like all the great pieces that we had and only wish we had again! If we only knew THEN what we know NOW!!!! Like the Heather Poly 64 Firebird III , my 66 Thunderbird IV Polaris white, and my '62 Jazz Bass in Blonde that I bought in a downtown hock shop for under $200 each!!!! The ONLY survivor from those days for me is my KILLER '65 Melody Maker in Ember Red. What a KILLER great guitar! How blessed we are to have this great passion!
Bought that sucker in '73 for $35 and I'm not going to let THIS ONE get away LOL Happy hunting, boys!
