Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Beautiful guitar Wernerg.
That guitar case is in amazing shape for being so old.
The case for my '80 "Jimmy Wallace" looks like it traveled the world several times over.
In my defense I did gig my guitar for several years before retiring it,but the case did it's job.
Here's my battered...
I own a lot of Gibson guitars, but only own 2 Epi's including this one.
I never had a chance to audition one of these when they came out,but I found this one used in great condition for a very good price.
I couldn't pass this beauty up, so it's now in my collection.
I've read the reviews...
That's a beauty Mike.
LOVE the top.
I got an early '80 "Jimmy Wallace" '58RI Quilted LP Standard Prototype back in '84.
Bought it from a local club owner who I knew who featured Texas touring rock bands in the '80's
He'd bought this guitar off a Texas guitarist from Dallas, who regularly...
I'm pretty sure your guitar is an '03 and not a '93.
The inlays in your guitar are the snot green, and in '93 they had the ivory inlays.
Also I don't think your guitar is a premium plus, but a Classic plus instead.
I guess you'll get 100% confirmation when you get the pics of the inside of...
I doesn't look like a fake to me, but I just don't know enough about Epiphone guitars to really be sure.
I just never been interested in owning the lower end Epi's.
I only own 1 Epiphone guitar , and it's an '03 Epiphone "Elite" LP Custom I picked up in a pawnshops a few years ago for $277.
My guitar tech had a beautiful LP that he had shown me a couple of months ago, that he wanted to sell
It was a beautiful LP and told him I wanted it and I'd sell some gear to take it off his hands.
Well with all this C19 stuff going on, NOBODY is buying anything off CL or FB Marketplace...
I was doing my normal rounds, when I noticed this on a guitar stand in front of the racks.
I saw the $100 price, but I thought for sure it was an MIM.
Couldn't believe they were asking $100 for it.
Took it to the counter and wanted to haggle because of the scratches and dents around the...
Walked into my regular pawnshop stops.
This Tom A was on the wall.
They were trying to move some guitars before the end of the year.
I told them if they'd make a killer cash deal, I'd run down the street to the bank for the money.
They gave me a really low price, but I countered with $300...
I did my pawnshop rounds today in a town I hadn't been in about 2 months. They have 4 stores in this town and it only takes about 25 min. to hit all 4.
Today I hit pay dirt on my 1st stop.
Went in looked around and asked if they had anything coming out, and they said they had a Gibson behind...
Ever since I found my '90 Fender Strat Plus in a pawnshop a few weeks ago, I decided I want to hunt down some more Plus's if I could find them for a good price.
Well last weekend I stopped by a second hand guitar shop where I frequent, and they just happened to just get in a few of these older...
I've always liked the late 70's and early 80's Ibanez Artist series guitars and heard good things about them, but never had a chance to audition a vintage one in person.
I finally was able to score an 1980 Artist AR50 earlier this week for a killer price.
These things are HEAVY,but they have...
I just checked out this fully loaded '83 Boogie IIC head serial number 11117.
I played it though an 80's Diamond Grill 4x12 this afternoon, and it sounded REALLY good. To me is sounded like my 60 watt IIC+ amp.
It's not in the best of shape, but everything is working on it and there are no...
My '75 Mocha Strat had been with my local guitar tech for a few months now.
It had been getting a fret job, as well as reinstalling the original bridge pickup and a replacement pickguard.
It was also cleaned up inside and out.
The neck on this guitar is one of the best Strat necks I've EVER...
I picked up a '63 ES-330 a little over a month ago. It had a few issues that needed to be addressed before it could be played. Before I bought it, I did check to make sure the guitar worked in all pickup positions.
The pots were scratchy and was one of the issues that needed to be addressed, so...
