Just Bought A Stew Mac SG Style Guitar Kit............................

I bought this guitar kit because it is on sale and I don't own an SG. I have owned Stew Mac necks and bodies in the past and thought that the quality was there. Has anyone here have/built a Stew Mac guitar kit and how do you feel about it? I will be adding my own parts and pickups on the kit.

Just Upgraded Speaker And Installed Strap-Locks......................

........on my newly acquired Blackstar Fly 3 amp. Changing the speaker made the amp louder, wider frequency range and much improved overall tone. With the strap-locks, I can wear my amp while I play my guitar. All done today and it is a good day.

In The process Of Building A Brass Top Thinline Tele........................

Should be a cool build. Seymour Duncan pickups, '59 humbucker in the neck, Antiquity P90 middle and a Jerry Donahue in the bridge, brass top. I did, however, make a mistake on the StewMac thinline body by thinking I could lightly roast the body using the oven when my wife finished baking and...

Inexpensive Tube OD Pedal Into An Inexpensive Amp........................

A while back, I purchased a Behringer VT999 pedal and today I connected it to my Vox MV50 Clean. I wanted to see how a vacuum tube OD pedal would push a Nu Tube into distortion. I'm glad I did because I believe I found a match. It sounds fantastic. I had removed the original cheap 12AX7 for an...

Wrong Power Supply With A Used Purchase From Guitar Center....................

I purchased a used Rocktron Gainiac from Guitar Center Tucson and the person who packaged the unit enclosed a wrong and improper power supply. The Gainiac requires a 9 VAC 1.5 amp (1500 milliamp) power supply and they sent me a cheap, lousy 9 VDC 150 milliamp power supply. They attempted to make...

Just Bought A Rocktron Gainiac To Experiment With..................

First of all I like vacuum tubes in my overdrive/distortion. I bought this unit so that I could change the Chinese 12AX7 to an NOS 5814A (military spec 12AU7) to mellow out the high gain. I tried the unit on my rack rig and I didn't care for the sound since my rig is already good. I then plugged...
