• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

From 'God' to Rolling Stone Whipping Boy in One Generation

The only reason I still have a subscription is because in the early 90's, they did a lifetime subscription offer for $99. I plan on making them honor that agreement for decades yet!!

From 'God' to Rolling Stone Whipping Boy in One Generation

It has gotten to the point where, when Rolling Stone shows up in the mail, I just toss it straight into the recycling bin.

    Jimmie Vaughan covid scare

Social media has lowered the bar greatly. Now it's just content for the sake of content and all consideration for the craft has fallen by the wayside.

Anybody remember the "mistcast dice" thread from the other forum? Jesus that was magnificent. I wonder if that's cached anywhere(googling) (found it!)

Should I let go of this '55 TV Special I've had for 25 years?

That thing looks good to go, to me. I regret every piece of gear I ever sold. Amongst numerous other life choices.

Amps you sold but should have kept

Dammit. I'm still sticking with "all of them" though.

    1954 stratocaster

Yeah, I've always assumed they were doing some experimenting with different things. I thought it might be cool to know what exactly but I'm not sure that answer is out there anywhere.

    1954 stratocaster

    It's not. It's a "#2".

    1954 stratocaster

There is a body date of 6/54. This #2 is addition to that. The guitar HQ guys have a picture of one with a #3 and I think I've see one other with a #1.

    1954 stratocaster

Anyone know the significance of the #2 in the trem cavity on this guitar? I've seen one other with a similar mark but have never been able to find any info.
